I have booked myself in for a night shift yesterday. However, when I checked my bookings, it did not show that my booking has been confirmed. Right after the worship service, I rang in again to confirm my shift, but it was still provisional. I was having second thoughts to come to work. The consultant informed me that the shift has been confirmed, and asked me to come on the scheduled booking.

The night shift began on the 4th of May 2025, it was bank holiday weekend the next day. On my arrival to the department, I was been told by the NIC that I was not allocated on the roster, and was not even in the roster. I told her that I have a reference number. She then told me to walk with her in the different areas of the department -- we then both found out that there was no nurse allocated in one of the areas of the department. She then told me to fill that gap to where the expected nurse had not turned up. Several minutes later, I was already looking after patients when the expected nurse turned up. She was sent home by the NIC, and paid her for two hours. She told the expected nurse that there was no allocation for her as it was given to someone else (which was me) because she was late.
The miracles of God happen everyday. It was a miracle for me to work on this day. It was unexpected. I had the feeling that there was something not right but having faith in the Word of God. He stated in the book of Matthew 7: 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Indeed, the miracles happen everyday :)
