It was God Who sent me here

It has been months since I last written something here. I missed it a lot. I came to a point wherein writing is therapeutic. I would like to share with you my experience for the day.

At 0900 this morning, I was interviewed for a post as a health care practitioner. During the interview, all the questions I must say  - I aced, but for some reason, this last question I struggled. I do not understand why - for this is what I do day in and day out. This evening, I checked my email. There then I found out, I failed for I "did not meet the required standards of assessment." Reflecting back, this what was the interviewer was after. I do not understand how I struggled with his question. To be honest with you, it made me confused. However, reflecting on my prayer and the story of Joseph - it is the will of God for me not to be accepted. I have to understand His will.

Prior to this interview, I have prayed to God for His will to be done. After the interview, I have prayed for His will to be done again. Do you remember the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis 45, “I am Joseph!” he said to his brothers. “Is my father still alive?” But his brothers were speechless! They were stunned to realize that Joseph was standing there in front of them. “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer. And he said again, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives. This famine that has ravaged the land for two years will last five more years, and there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors.[a] So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser[b]to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt." Joseph said that it was God who sent him to Egypt to preserve their lives. Of all the things that happened with him, he trusted God. God fulfilled His promise to Joseph.

I have accepted the will of God - it was not His will for me to work in the job that I applied for today. I know His plans are always the best. I trust Him in everything, for He knows the best for me. Hence, not all defeats are defeats, oftentimes defeats are victory in the way how we see God moves in our lives!

The miracles of God happen everyday! :)
